Your Experience
Experience old-fashion sailing, the same way people did some 50 years ago! You are given the possibility to sail a large traditional ship, giving you a once in a lifetime experience when assisting the enthusiastic sailing crew commanding the ship. This experience is a different challenge for you! To make it all work, you cooperate with the skippers. Your reward is a unique sailing experience and sailing knowledge. The cooperation also contributes to a nice atmosphere among the guests. You are taking an active part in setting the sails, manoeuvres, stewardship, navigation and other duties on the sailing ship. All duties are of course handed out in accordance to your particular interest and abilities. This will be a pleasant and unique experience you will remember for a long time!

Dress Code
Please be advised that there is a risk of obtaining stains of colour and tar on your garments. You are recommended to wear durable garments. Please do also feel free to bring you own life jacket if you already have one

This ship has been made out of oak and is a schooner with two masts. The ship carries three toilets. The hull is 75 feet long and goes 9 feet deep into the sea. Access by wheelchair is provided by a platform elevator. The For Fulla Segel Association’s home is in Lysekil, 80 miles north of Gothenburg. In Lysekil municipality, on the beautiful island of Skafto is Fiskebackskil found where the club house of the association is located as well as the Kvartsitas tall ship. Fiskebackskil is an old village which build around the fishing industry.
