
The experience
London covers a vast area and is steeped in history, tradition, sights and places of interest. The Helicopter Sightseeing Tour Of London will follow the Thames to ensure you have the chance to capture everything from this very unique view.
Your flight will depart from Elstree Aerodrome in North London and follows the route of the River Thames. Flying at 1000 feet, you'll enjoy all of the wonderful sights of London including Kew Gardens, Buckingham Palace, The Houses Of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, St.Paul's Cathedral, The Tower Of London, Tower Bridge, The Millennium Dome and as far east as The Thames Flood Barrier, before returning back to Elstree. During your 30 minute flight you will receive a full commentary from your Captain.
Vital information
Maximum weight is 16 stone. Children aged two or over can fly from Essex or aged eight or over from Surrey. Wheelchair users and those under 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult. You may also be asked to provide identification on the day.
The weather
This is a weather dependent activity and it is crucial that you call the centre for a weather check before setting out on the day. Any flights cancelled due to the weather will be re-booked for another occasion.
Session length
Your flight will last for approximately 30 minutes.
Numbers
There will be a maximum of four passengers sharing your experience.
Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch you take off and land from the aerodrome. Please feel free to bring a pair of binoculars and a camera.
Dress code
Wear loose, comfortable clothing, as the cockpit can get warm. Sunglasses are recommended all year round.
Availability
Flights operate on selected Sunday dates, with the greatest availability between May and August.
